Donald Mason is the president of Terra Directional Services, LLC. For over 30 years, Don has built a solid reputation in the directional drilling industry and has drilled wells from the US onshore regions to some of the most remote areas of the world.

Don started as a directional driller on the North Slope of Alaska in the 1980s. He applied his craft using the newest technology in directional drilling equipment including steerable mud motors, MWD systems and rotary steerable systems. Since that period, Don has worked in field and office operations in all of the continental USA including offshore in Alaska, the Gulf of Mexico, California, and overseas in Southeast Asia, Europe, and Africa.

In 2011, Don started Terra Directional Services, LLC. Don’s primary focus has been providing leadership and building the best team of directional drillers and support staff in order to provide the best service for his clients.
Rubicel has over 11 years of experience in the service, design, and improvement of MWD tools, including more than two years of field experience. His key focus has been training and mentoring MWD personnel within various companies in a field-shop environment. Rubicel is customer-focused and has assisted with the troubleshooting of MWD tools and failure analysis. Maintaining close relationships between vendors and manufacturers of MWD tools has established Terra Directional Services as a leader in MWD equipment, with Rubicel at the helm.

Rubicel joined Terra Directional Services, LLC in October 2013. He is responsible for managing technical assets, and for educating and training company personnel. His innovative approach keeps Terra Directional Services at the forefront of new technologies.
Pamela Daniel joined Terra Directional Services, LLC in September 2011 and is the human resources and office manager. Other areas of responsibility include OSHA, DISA and ISNetworld compliance.

Prior to joining TDS, Pam was the Business Development Manager for a national consumer goods company and has over 25 years of personnel and management experience. Pam has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a member of SHRM.


Debbie graduated from the University of Alaska with a bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and computer science. While in college, she started working for a directional drilling company in Anchorage, Alaska as a well planner and programmer/analyst. After graduation, Debbie changed jobs to become a systems analyst with Kuparuk Reservoir Engineering at ARCO Alaska in Anchorage.

After being in and around the oilfield for more than 20 years, and after enjoying a 10 year career as a high school math teacher, Debbie decided to enter the oilfield service industry again, and has joined our team as our in-house well planner.
